Kauni shipment arrives July 24, 2010

I’m sitting on the curb waiting for the mail-person to deliver a Kauni shipment. Normally, we are amazed how fast the yarn arrives from Estonia (once the money has made its tortuous way there) but, because we now have many back-orders for Bubbles Scarf Kits, I’ve never known it come so slowly.

Recently Cat Bordhi happened to mention on Facebook how much she’d like to knit this scarf (if only she had a spare pair of hands), and we’ve been extra busy ever since.

I’m very happy to see how many people are knitting the scarf along with a friend, and ordering the Double Bubble Kit: two balls of yarn (enough for two scarves), two patterns and in many cases one Double Knitting Delight DVD. However, I do feel sorry for the friend that has to wait their turn for the wool.

Yes!! It has arrived! The mail carrier had to come to the door and ask for help with the box as it was so heavy and large. His comment :“That’s a lot of wool!”. Quite a lot of beautiful wool. Parcels to be packed, knitters’ appetites to be sated.

Lucy, I have your most DVD series: Knitting Essentials (1&2) and
Knitting Gems (1-4) and the Brand New Knittner. I have learned so much from these DVD’s. I love the way you explain everything in detail. Your instructions are very easy to follow.
My knitting skills have increased so much after watching your lessons. Almost every knitting skill is covered. Keep up the good work.

Anything that piques people’s interest in double knitting is good with me!
