Happy Stitches

Keep your stitches smiling!

Technique Corner May 23, 2016

This week we will take a look at a fourth method of casting on: the cable cast-on.

The cable cast-on is worked much like the knitted cast-on, and like the knitted cast-on it can also be used to add stitches at the end of a row. However, it is important not to confuse the two techniques since they produce very different knitted edges.

In this video Lucy explains how the cable cast-on differs from the knitted cast-on, and the pros and cons of using a cable cast-on vs. a knitted cast-on.
