Continuing our look at picking up (or knitting up) stitches, garter stitch presents an extra challenge when knitting up stitches along the vertical edge since the nature of garter stitch fabric makes it difficult to count the rows of correctly. In this video Lucy demonstrates how to use waste yarn as a guide to allow you to easily count the rows.
